A lot of homeowners aren’t sure what they’re getting when they schedule a plumbing inspection. Here’s what we actually check and why each item matters.

Water supply system:

We test water pressure (healthy range is 40–60 psi), inspect visible supply lines for corrosion or bulging, check shut-off valves at every fixture to confirm they turn freely, and verify the main shut-off valve operates correctly. In Charleston, many homes have shut-off valves that haven’t been touched in years, and a valve that’s seized open is useless in an emergency.
